Leafletting & Site Prep

Thank you for your patience as we work to update the blog. We've had some internet issues (like it going away for quite awhile) so we will upload photos as soon as we are able. The last few days we've started out with devotions at a local church that is involved in serving at Creation Fest called Wadebridge Christian Center. It's great diving right into the Word as a team. After our morning devos, many of our manly men were sent off to build the skate park while the rest of us split into groups to pass out flyers for the event (leafletting) throughout the surrounding communities. We've had some good conversations and seen some locals make decisions for Christ.

Today our entire team went to the festival site to help prep for the event. While our guys spent much of the day heavy lifting, the rest of us set up the various venues with tables and chairs and the like. After many hours in the wind and rain, we gathered indoors for our volunteer meeting to receive our marching orders for the week. It's exciting to think of what God has in store for our team as well as those that will be attending the festival. It all begins tomorrow at 6pm!

A few prayer requests to leave you with:
- health for our team as there has been some fighting colds
- unity amongst leadership and strength for those that are overseeing various areas of the festival
- less rain in the forecast

Blessings and good night...the CFTeam

Arrive Alive!!!

We did indeed. By bus....then plane...then a lot more bus...we are finally settled and off to sleep. It's almost 11PM here and most us have been up for well over 30 hours...the AC on the plane only cooled off 1st, business, and premium economy...our economy cabin stayed pretty warm. It made for a long night but otherwise the flight was uneventful. We breezed through customs after an initial scare - one of our front liners mentioned that he was traveling in a large group...the customs official then demanded the group leader so after cutting in front of several hundred people whose eye contact I avoided, he asked several questions, liked the answers, and then took over 80% of our team without any questions at all - Praise the Lord!! The airline did manage to lose Adrian's suitcase (even though they managed to deliver his guitar) so please pray for its swift delivery to him here in Cornwall. Tomorrow starts off pretty slow with the drivers going to collect the vehicles and the team having a bit of lie in...but once the clock strikes noon we'll be getting into gear. Blessings to all...your prayers are much appreciated...please pray for traveling mercies, good health, organization, patience...to name a few. Many pictures and updates to follow. Good night.

time has flown by...

...and now we're at the cusp of our departure. It will be quite a journey to Cornwall and we probably won't be providing updates along the way...but remember...no news is good news. A new post will be up as soon as we're settled in. Thank you for your prayers and support...bye for now.
